New AusAID research strategy 2012016 is now online

The new research strategy of AusAID for the period 2012-16 is now online.

AusAID funds research to reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development. Good research leads to greater development effectiveness and AusAID has been a strong supporter of practical, policy-relevant social science research into development challenges.

This strategy outlines AusAID\’s approach to delivering an effective research program which provides better value for money. AusAID will ensure a program of relevant and high quality research by: setting research priorities that align with country program needs; increasing the proportion of competitively funded research; enhancing AusAID’s performance oversight of the research portfolio; increasing access to research results; and continuing to build the capacity of researchers and research users in Australia and in our partner countries.
